During these rather harsh financial times I am sure that we could all do with some tips on how to save some extra money. There has never been a better time to save money on your various insurance renewals. I will be writing about how you can make these savings within this article.
Due to the fact that I have just renewed my own auto insurance that is the type of insurance I will concentrate on in this article.
I am not an insurance specialist in fact I am just a regular guy from the UK who is involved in providing jobs in foster care, offering people quality external doors and enabling the public to obtain budget package holidays.
Around two weeks I go I received my annual car renewal notice with the new premium. I was quite happy with the premium but I of course thought it was prudent to try to obtain an even lower price.
In an attempt to find a lower quote I went online to use a car insurance comparison website. The cheapest price was in fact twenty pounds lower than what I had been quoted.
I then telephoned the company that I was already with and therefore the car insurance company that had sent me the renewal notice and told them that I had used a car insurance comparison site and that I had managed to obtain a quote that was £40 lower than what they had quoted. I asked them if they could offer me a cheaper quote than they had previously.
Why did I state a £40 reduction when in fact I only had managed to obtain a quote £20 lower? Well because I knew that they would not offer me the full reduction. They did come back with a lower premium that was in fact £30 off their original renewal price. What a bargain and what a saving!
I hope these tips help you in the same way that they have worked for me, please let me know how you get on. You never know those extra pounds that you save could help you to start saving towards a new car or perhaps a holiday – every penny counts, as they say – especially in a recession.
